Himali Hydro Fund Ltd is building the Sona Khola Hydropower Project, a 9 MW run-of-river scheme in Taplejung district, and answers to hundreds of shareholders while it does.

The website is where the company explains itself: the project introduction and its full table of salient features, the company profile and shareholding structure, the board and management team, by-laws and guidelines, a photo gallery from the project area, and notices, vacancies and news.

Key goals

What the site had to do.

Four goals shaped the structure of the site.

  1. 01

Present the Sona Khola Hydropower Project and its technical facts

  2. 02

Introduce the company, its board, its management and its by-laws

  3. 03

Give shareholders and the public one place for notices, vacancies and news

  4. 04

Show the work on the ground through a project gallery

Our approach

How we approached it.

Keep a company of record easy to read, and keep it online.

  1. Organised the menu around what visitors look for: Project, About Us, Gallery, Contact Us, Notice and Blogs

  2. Gave the project its own page, with the introduction followed by the full salient-features table

  3. Grouped the company profile, board of directors, management team and by-laws under About Us

  4. Built the site on WordPress and host it with ProtozoaHost, the Nomor group's hosting company

Design decisions

Three design decisions, explained.

Every choice follows one idea: a shareholder or a journalist should find the fact they came for without a phone call.

  • 01 · Project data

    The facts in a table

    Why?

The project page sets out the location, hydrology, headworks, waterways, powerhouse, transmission line and financial parameters as one numbered table, so engineers and investors read the same figures.

  • 02 · Notices

    A notice board for shareholders

    Why?

Company and project notices, vacancies and news each have their own section under Notice, so announcements to shareholders have a permanent, public home.

  • 03 · Gallery

    Progress you can see

    Why?

The gallery captions each photo, from the public hearing and the PPA signing to access road construction and powerhouse excavation, so the project's progress is documented as well as described.
